About the Role
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Lead / Senior Lead Engineer for Multibody Dynamics in Bangalore. In this role, you will apply advanced simulation techniques to support the design, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance product reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis on complex mechanical systems using MSC ADAMS.
- Develop high-fidelity multibody dynamic models of Nacelle Systems, Landing Gears, and Flight Control Mechanisms.
- Correlate simulation models to physical test data for validation.
- Generate reduced-order flex body models using FE software such as MSC Nastran or ANSYS.
- Integrate MBD models with control models developed in MATLAB/Simulink environments for co-simulation.
- Use scripting tools to automate simulation processes and perform post-processing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline.
- 4-10 years of experience executing multibody dynamic simulations (rigid and flex bodies) and structural simulations.
- Solid working knowledge of structural analysis and tools like MSC Nastran, ANSYS, or Abaqus.
- Hands-on experience with simulation tools including MSC ADAMS, HyperMesh, MSC Patran, FEMap, or Catia V5/V6.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with scripting languages like Python or MATLAB for simulation automation.
- Prior experience working on advanced aerospace mechanism simulations.
